Supervision Opportunities
Welcome!
I’m so glad you are choosing to give yourself an opportunity to grow in your use of Emotionally Focused Therapy. It is my favorite way to work in supporting the relationships that matter most. So much healing happens when we can feel secure in the connections that anchor us.
EFT is a rich model with a strong research base, offering us the confidence to lean into its steps, stages, and moves. However, I believe that your being able to show up as yourself is fundamental to your effectiveness as an EFT therapist and to your enjoyment of this work.
In our supervision together, I aim to support your understanding and use of the EFT map through questions, reflection, and guidance—while ultimately centering your growth in showing up authentically within the model. This professional relationship is grounded in a formal supervision agreement, where I serve as a Supervisor-in-Training (SiT) under ICEEFT oversight.
Supervision is designed to support your development in EFCT through experiential, emotionally attuned learning, and is informed by the HEART model—Holding, Empathizing, Attuning, Reframing, and Teaching/Tangoing.
Some Information about the process…
-
There’s flexibility to find what works best for you. This is your plan!
If you’re new to the model, you might prefer to book sessions more regularly at first—most people find they learn best when sessions aren’t too far apart early on.
Some people come with a specific tape or question, and in those cases, one session may be enough.
If you're working toward certification, you'll need to complete and submit proof of at least 8 hours of supervision.
I’m happy to work with you to create a plan that fits your goals.

I understand that by entering into a supervisory relationship, you are opening yourself up to feedback—and I want to extend that same openness in return. I warmly invite you to share your thoughts with me about your experience of supervision at any point in our work together.
While supervision is distinct from therapy, we are still human in both settings. It’s natural to have feelings about our work, especially when we care deeply about doing right by our clients. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can reflect on your experiences, explore challenges, and build confidence as you learn this model.
Please don’t hesitate to let me know if there’s anything I can do to support your learning or make our time together more helpful.
